Cut two long strips for the straps. Make them about 2 inches wide and the desired length for your straps (typically around 30 inches each).
Optional: Cut a small square for a pocket if you want to add one.
Sew the Straps:
Fold each strap in half lengthwise with the right sides facing each other.
Sew along the long edge, leaving the ends open.
Turn the straps right side out, press them flat with an iron, and topstitch along each side for a finished look.
Sew the Pocket (Optional):
Fold the top edge of the pocket down twice to create a clean edge.
Pin the pocket to the front panel of the bag, positioning it to your liking.
Sew around the sides and bottom of the pocket, leaving the top open.
Assemble the Bag:
Place the two main fabric panels right sides together.
Pin the sides and bottom edges.
Sew along the sides and bottom with a 1/2-inch seam allowance. Reinforce the stitching at the beginning and end.
Clip the corners to reduce bulk.
Create the Boxed Corners:
Open up the corners to create a triangular shape, aligning the side seam with the bottom seam.
Sew across each triangle about 1-2 inches from the point.
Trim the excess fabric.

Pin the straps to the top edge of the bag, positioning them about 4-5 inches apart.
Sew the straps in place by sewing a square with an "X" in it for added strength.

To make the bag foldable, fold it in half (front to back) and then fold it again from the bottom up, with the straps on top. Secure it with Velcro or buttons if desired.
Finish and Customize:
Trim any loose threads and give your bag a final press with the iron.
You can personalize your bag by adding decorations, embroidery, or fabric paint if desired.
